Your generosity helps create transformative experiences for queer and trans youth, providing a safe and empowering space to grow, heal, and lead. CampOUT! is more than a summer camp; it is a year-round community of care and resilience. Destiny Justice Lang, a former camper, shares how CampOUT! changed their life:
“As a 2023 camper, CampOUT! transformed how I build community and advocate for change. Inspired by my experience, I successfully advocated for gender-affirming healthcare at my university. In 2024, I returned as a Cabin Leader to support queer youth. However, after being kicked out of my home, I faced homelessness. The CampOUT! community kept me alive—they housed, fed, and supported me. Thanks to CampOUT!, I now have a safe home, am continuing my education, and leading research on housing and food security for queer students. Most importantly, I found a family that saved my life.”
