By selecting “YES, I Consent to Use of Image or Recording by UBC CampOUT” on your registration form, you acknowledge that you give The University of British Columbia (“UBC”) permission to use images and recordings of you, including still photographs and audio-visual recordings (“Images/Recordings”) from UBC CampOUT!.
How UBC will use and disclose the Images/Recordings:
UBC will use images in our promotional materials, stewardship reporting, and on our social medias to promote the program and share the story of camp with our supporters.
How UBC will identify you in the Images/Recordings:
Your preferred name, pronouns, the year you attended, your role (if not a camper), and your general region
By selecting “YES, I Consent to Use of Image or Recording by UBC CampOUT” on your registration form, you agree to the following terms:
- You grant to UBC a non-exclusive, irrevocable, unrestricted, royalty free license to record, reproduce, transfer, transmit, and display the Images/Recordings as explained above.
- UBC may crop, alter or modify the Images/Recordings or combine them with other images, text, audio recordings and graphics.
- The Images/Recordings may be stored and accessed outside Canada.
- UBC is authorized by section 26 of the British Columbia Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
Your rights to privacy are protected by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of British Columbia. This means your information will only be shared with CampOUT! staff, and your personal information will be handled with the strictest confidentiality.
We will obtain parent/guardian signatures for anyone under 19 years of age in the waiver.
